Use PostHog with Adrails: see what ad traffic does after the click
PostHog records what people do in your product: sign-ups, activations, the events that matter. Meta stops at the click or the conversion it attributes. Connected to Adrails, PostHog's daily event counts sit next to Meta spend, and changes still wait for approval.

Step by step
Without Adrails, and with it
What PostHog already does stays as it is. What changes is everything after it.
| Step | PostHog alone | PostHog +Adrails |
|---|---|---|
| Track behavior | PostHog captures the events that happen in your product. | Unchanged. PostHog stays the product analytics tool. |
| Put spend next to activation | Query PostHog, export Ads Manager, line up the days. | Daily event counts and Meta spend in one workspace. |
| Ask why it moved | Rebuild the report each time the question changes. | Ask the Analysis Expert in plain words. It answers from both sources. |
| Apply the change | Each edit in Ads Manager is live as soon as it is saved. | The Media Buyer proposes it with the evidence. It applies after approval. |
| Keep a record | Meta's activity history shows what changed, not why. | Each change is kept with the numbers that justified it. |
01
The click is not the customer
Meta optimizes toward the event it receives. For a product, the event that pays is often later: an activation, a second session, an upgrade. PostHog records it, and Adrails puts it next to the spend that preceded it.
Adrails reads how many times each event happened per day through one query. It does not read individual people, properties or session recordings.
02
Access you can reason about
The personal API key needs project and query read scopes, and it can be limited to a single project. Adrails checks those scopes and identifies the project before it saves the key.
Disconnecting removes the stored key and stops the daily reads.

FAQ
Common questions
Does Adrails read session recordings or personal data from PostHog?
No. It reads the number of times each event happened per day, nothing about individual people.
Can Adrails change my budgets or pause ads on its own?
No. The Media Buyer agent proposes pauses, budget changes and scale decisions with the evidence behind them. Each one is applied only after a person approves it.
