01
Keep each level responsible for its own decisions
The campaign name carries the business initiative and objective. The ad set name carries audience and market decisions. The ad name identifies the creative concept, format and version.
This makes lists easier to scan and prevents every entity from repeating one long string of metadata.
02
Use controlled vocabulary
Agree on abbreviations for objectives, markets, audience types and formats. A generator improves consistency only when the team uses the same terms for the same decisions.
Review the convention when the business changes, not for every campaign. Stable names make filters, exports and audit trails easier to maintain.
FAQ
Common questions
Why generate three separate names?
Campaigns, ad sets and ads represent different decisions. Separate grammars keep each list readable.
Should the date appear in every name?
No. Add a date only when it defines a real promotion, cohort or operating period.
Put the workflow into one workspace.
Connect a Meta ad account, ask an agent to prepare the work and approve the exact result.
